As per the new program from December 1, 2010, people applying as immigrant investors must use the regular application process

The Investor application forms you need to fill out.

2. Complete your application.

• Fill out all the forms and sign. The forms can be completed on your computer & Print the forms once you complete them, because you cannot save the form.
• You can also use a typewriter to complete the forms Print clearly, using black ink.
• Reply all answer of questions carefully, completely and truthfully. Incomplete application forms will not be processed and will be returned to you.
• You must complete all the forms:
• The Application for Permanent Residence in Canada (Form IMM 0008 Generic)
• The Schedule 1: Background/Declaration (Form IMM 0008 Schedule 1)
• The Additional Family Information (Form IMM 5406)
• The Schedule 6: Economic Classes: Entrepreneurs and Investors (Form IMM 0008 Schedule 6)
• If you want to use of a Representative. You must complete (Form IMM 5476). This form only if you want to use a representative to help you apply. Using a representative is a personal choice.
• The Facilitator :- You must complete this form only if you wish to use the services of a Facilitator to to transfer your investment ( Investor’s Acknowledgement)

3. Determine where to submit your application.

The application must  be submit to the visa office that serves your country of nationality or the country where you have been lawfully admitted for at least one year.

4. Calculate your fees

You will have to pay:

• The application processing fee for you and your dependants. This fee must be paid with you application at the time of apply, and is only refundable if you withdraw your application before it is processed. Once your application is put into process, the fee is not refundable, even if your application is not approved.
• The Right of Permanent Residence fee for you and your accompanying spouse or common-law partner, if applicable. You will only need to pay this fee if your application is approved. It must be paid before Citizenship and Immigration Canada issues your permanent resident visa. This fee is refundable if you cancel your application, if your application is not approved or if you do not use your visa.

You will also have to pay fees to third parties for:

• you and your dependants for medical exam
• you and your dependants have to obtain a police certificate,
• If you need language testing test, as required.

5. Check your application.

All applicant must make sure application is completed correctly, and that you include all the necessary supporting documents. Use the checklist to make sure you have not forgotten anything. It is also important to check all the documents are in English or French & legalized.

The visa office cannot process your application if supporting documents & fees are missing, or if your forms are not completed and signed. This will delay your to process your application.

6. Submit your application.

Once everything in order mail your application and your fees to the visa office.
